Using Opportunities for Better Pricing

As a Randmar partner, you gain access to exclusive pricing and promotions negotiated directly with our manufacturers. We call these Opportunities. An Opportunity might be a special bid, a seasonal discount, or promotional pricing on specific products, giving you a competitive edge.

Using Opportunities allows you to access better pricing than what is normally available, helping you win more deals and improve your margins.

The assistant is the most direct way to discover and apply special pricing to your orders.

Step 1: Discover Available Opportunities​

You can ask the assistant to show you all promotions available to you.

Example Prompts:

  • To see everything:

    "Show me all my opportunities"

  • To find deals for a specific brand:

    "Are there any opportunities available for HP products?"

The assistant will list the available Opportunities, including their name, the manufacturer, and a unique Bid Number.

Step 2: Apply an Opportunity to a Cart​

When you add an item to a cart, simply tell the assistant the Bid Number you want to use. This ensures you get the special pricing for that item.

Example Prompt:

"Add 2 of product W1480X to my 'Customer B' cart using bid number HP-Q3-PROMO"

If an Opportunity applies to all products from a manufacturer, you can set it as a default to save time.

"Set HP-Q3-PROMO as my default opportunity for HP"

The assistant will automatically apply that bid to all eligible HP products you add to any cart in the future.

Using the Reseller Portal​

You can also browse and manage Opportunities visually within the portal.

Step 1: Find and Review Opportunities​

  1. Navigate to the "Opportunities" section from the main menu.

  2. Here you will see a list of all available promotions, including the manufacturer, Bid Number, and start/end dates.

  3. Click on any Opportunity to see the full list of included products and their special prices.

Step 2: Add an Item with Opportunity Pricing​

From the Opportunity detail page, you can add products directly to your cart with the special pricing already applied.

  1. Find the product you want within the Opportunity's product list.
  2. Enter the desired quantity.
  3. Click the "Add to Cart" button next to the item.

The product will now be in your cart with the promotional price.
