Viewing Product Returns
A transparent and well-managed returns process is a sign of a strong distribution partnership. The Randmar platform gives you complete visibility into any Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) that resellers have initiated for your products. This data helps you track the entire lifecycle of a return and can provide valuable insights into product performance and reseller activity.
Using the Randmar Assistant (Recommended)
The assistant can provide immediate information about your product returns.
Example Assistant Commands:
-
To get a summary of recent activity:
"Show me a list of my recent returns"
-
To find a specific return by its RMA number:
"What are the details for return RA0012345?"
-
To see all returns for a specific product:
"List all returns for product W1480X"
The assistant will provide you with the key details for each return, including the reseller, the reason for the return, and its current status in our system.
Using the Manufacturer Portal
The "Returns" section of the portal provides a comprehensive dashboard for all returns related to your products.
Step 1: Navigate to the Returns Dashboard
Select "Returns" from the main menu. This will display a list of all RMAs, both in-progress and completed, for your product catalog.
Step 2: Review and Analyze the Data
The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of all return activity. You can typically see:
- RMA Number: The unique tracking number for the return.
- Status: The current stage of the return (e.g., Approved, Received, Credited).
- Date: When the return was initiated.
- Reseller Name: Which partner initiated the return.
- Product & Quantity: The specific item(s) being returned.
- Reason: The reason provided by the reseller (e.g., Defective, Shipping Error).
You can click on any return in the list to view more detailed information.
This transparency allows you to monitor for trends. For example, a high number of "Defective" returns for a certain product might signal a quality issue to investigate, while frequent "Ordering Errors" from a specific reseller might present a training opportunity.
