✅ Placing an Order

Once your cart is ready, placing your order is a straightforward process. This is the final step to convert your cart into a live order that will be picked, packed, and shipped from our warehouse.

We'll walk you through the two key stages: providing a shipping destination to get delivery options and confirming your order details.

The assistant streamlines the checkout process into a simple conversation.

Step 1: Start the Checkout Process

Tell the assistant you're ready to check out a specific cart and provide the complete shipping address and contact details. The more information you provide upfront, the faster the process will be.

Example Prompt:

"I'm ready to place the order for my 'Customer-123' cart.

Ship to: Great Company Inc, 123 Main Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2N2, Canada.

Contact: John Doe at 416-555-1234.

PO Number: PO-789"

The assistant will verify the address and reply with a list of available shipping methods and their costs.

Step 2: Confirm Your Order

After you review the shipping options, simply tell the assistant which one you'd like to use and confirm the order.

Example Prompt:

"Looks good. Please use the 'Standard Ground' shipping option and confirm the order."

You can also add final details at this stage:

  • To ship all items together: "Use standard shipping but please ship complete." (This ensures we don't send partial shipments).
  • To add a note for the packing slip: "Please add 'Attn: Receiving Dept' to the shipping slip comment."

Once confirmed, the assistant will process the order and provide you with a Randmar Order Number.

Uh oh, something went wrong? 🤔

If the assistant can't confirm your order, it's usually for one of a few reasons:

  • Account Status: Your order may not proceed if your account has an overdue balance. Please check the "Billing" section to ensure your account is in good standing.
  • Out of Stock: An item in your cart may have just gone out of stock. You can check its availability by asking the assistant!
  • Missing a Deal: Some items require special pricing (an "Opportunity") to be purchased. Make sure you've applied the correct bid number to your cart.

Using the Reseller Portal đŸ–Ĩī¸â€‹

If you prefer a visual checkout process, you can complete your order through the portal.

Step 1: Proceed to Checkout from Your Cart

Navigate to the cart you wish to order. You will see a "Proceed to Checkout" or similar button to begin the process.

Step 2: Enter Shipping and Order Details

You will be prompted to fill out a form with the complete shipping information, including:

  • Recipient Name and Address
  • Contact Name and Phone Number
  • Your Purchase Order (PO) Number
  • Your Customer's PO Number (if applicable)

Step 3: Choose Your Shipping Method

Based on the address you entered, the portal will display a list of available shipping methods and their associated costs. Select the one that best fits your needs.

Step 4: Review and Place Your Order

The final screen will show a complete summary of your order, including all items, the shipping address, the selected shipping method, and the final total including taxes and shipping. Review all the details carefully.

If everything is correct, click the "Place Order" or "Confirm Order" button to finalize the transaction. You will then receive a confirmation with your Randmar Order Number.

Uh oh, something went wrong? 🤔

If your order fails to confirm, it's usually for one of a few reasons:

  • Account Status: Your order may not proceed if your account has an overdue balance. Please check the "Billing" section to ensure your account is in good standing.
  • Out of Stock: An item in your cart may have just gone out of stock. Check its availability on the product page.
  • Missing a Deal: Some items require special pricing (an "Opportunity") to be purchased. Make sure you've added items with the correct opportunity pricing to your cart.
